Has quick bat speed, simple upward swing plane and high finish. Solid while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 74 mph; has consistent feet, soft hands, and a natural exchange. Solid in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 83 mph; has consistent feet, sure hands, and a natural exchange. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Used a loose arm action with a high ¾ slot.
OF/SS, (2023) Unioto, OH. 6-foot-1, 175-pound. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 97 mph. (70.6 mph bat speed average). (22.2 mph hand speed average). Begins in an athletic quiet stance with a compact load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed is quick, uses a short simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid from the outfield, his best throws to the bases were registered at 85 mph; had a natural exchange, sure hands, and consistent footwork. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had a high ¾ slot with a loose arm action. Showed his athleticism during the event with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.86.
Micah Geise: OF/SS, (2023) Unioto, OH. 6-foot-1, 175-pound. During batting practice, Geise displayed an exit velocity of 96 mph, Highest at the event. (70.1 mph bat speed average). (22.1 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced athletic stance with a small load, then used a controlled small leg kick. Bat speed is quick, displays a simple upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. From the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 85 mph. Solid in the infield, displayed a velocity of 80 mph; showed soft hands, consistent feet, and a natural exchange. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Showed a quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. Showed off his speed at the event, running a swift 6.75 60-yard dash.
Micah Geise: SS/OF, (2023) Unioto, OH. 6-foot-1, 165-pound athletic frame. Solid during batting practice, Geise clocked an exit velocity of 88 mph. Began in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth controlled load, then used a toe tap. Had quick bat speed and a level swing plane. Found multiple barrels in his round. Solid while in the infield, made throws up to 78 mph; has athletic feet, consistent hands, and a natural exchange. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.15.
Hit:Fast twitch athlete with all the tools you'd want at the plate. Has some minor things to button up but the natural tools are obvious. The jump was real when he connected.
Power:Easy gap abilities.
Offensive Projection:Multiple ROles. Good athlete with burst.
Field:Rangy defender with above average lateral mobility. Ball skills are ahead of the curve.
