6-foot, 170-pound. Right-handed hitting prospect. Begins with a balanced setup. Minimal hand load prior to launch, swings off the backside. Barrel stays through the zone, sprayed balls to all parts of the field. Registered a 81 mph exit velocity. Showed strong receiving skills behind the plate, needs to improve footwork and transfer time. Arm strength is good, 79 mph, recorded 2.21-2.32 times to second. On the infield, shows good lateral range, glove and transfer presently rate as average. Throws were accurate reaching 71 mph across the diamond. Ran a 4.5 home to first.
Scouting Report: 6-foot, 170-pound athletic body frame. From behind the plate he has efficient footwork, carrying his momentum in good direction on his throws to second base. Has a tendency to stand up, would like to see him stay lower through his throws to second. Has an ideal catcher’s arm action recording pop times of 2.25-2.49 and reaching a top velocity of 66 mph. In the infield he has adequate footwork while approaching the baseball, and showed the ability to move well laterally to cover ground. Recorded a top velocity of 69 mph on his throws across the infield. Right-handed hitter starts from a balanced stance. Hands stay mostly quiet and are short to the ball, finishing with a two-handed follow through. He showed the ability to use the whole field during his round of batting practice, recorded a top exit velocity of 76 mph and ran a 7.18 60-yard dash.
