5-foot-8, 145-pound right-handed pitcher brought good tempo to his performance and showed ability to drive down the mound well. Runyon threw with an over-the-top motion that looked smooth. He did tend to fall off the mound glove-side which can be improved by developing his mechanics and staying more balanced throughout his delivery. His fastball sat 69-71 mph and he topped out a 72. His curveball was 65-67 with high breaking point that he needs to work on pulling down and releasing at a later point. Nicholas also threw a splitter that was 65-66 with some good downward movement and he could throw it for strikes. He brought good intent to each of his throws which will produce progress into his development as he gets older.
