SS/OF, (2023) New Albany, OH. 5-foot-10, 160-pound athletic frame. Started in a tall stance with a quick controlled load, then used a short toe tap stride. Bat speed is electric, exhibits a short uphill swing plane and high finish. He found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Aggressive approach. Advanced showed his live arm in the infield with position velocities up to 85 mph; has consistent sure hands, a quick exchange, and fluid in control feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Showed a high ¾ slot and a short very quick arm action with consistent accuracy to the bag. Recorded a time of 7.07 in the 60-yard dash.
Owen Johnson: SS/OF, (2023) New Albany, OH. 5-foot-9, 140-pound. During batting practice, Johnson clocked an exit velocity of 86 mph. Begins in an athletic open stance with a tight load, then uses a controlled open stride. Bat speed was quick, had a simple upward swing plane and high finish. Solid in the infield, his best throw was registered at 83 mph; had a natural exchange, consistent quick footwork, and soft hands. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Had a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. Recorded a 60 time of 7.34 at the event. On the mound, showing some arm speed he used a high ¾ arm angle with a loose arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses some effort. Threw his fastball 80-82 mph. Has slight running action. (Max spin 2202; Avg 2109). Threw a 11/5 curveball (70-72) with gradual action. (Max spin 2345; Avg 2280). He shows some action on his changeup (71-72).
5-foot-6, 130-pound projectable body frame. Infielder showed athleticism, moving well laterally to cover good ground. Fields with softness to his hands, ball skills are on par with his age. Throws with a clean arm action through a ¾ slot recording a velocity of 72 mph. Right-handed hitter has a tall, balanced stanced. Fluid load with his hands moving past his back shoulder and finishes his swing with a two-handed follow through. Showed the ability to hit the ball to both sides of the field during his round of batting practice reaching an exit velocity of 83 mph with more to come as he physically matures. Ran a 7.35 60-yard dash.
