Hit: Loose, whippy stroke from the right side. Very efficient path with well abvoe average natural tools through the zone. Unlocks well using his body to create energy. Solid round.
Power: Gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Run producer ceiling.
Field: Much like his profile on the mound he showed a lot of tools/athleticism to only go stock up as a defender. Moves well/ball skills are there.
Throw: Potential for well above average strength.
Defensive Projection: Left side of the infield.
Delivery/Scouting Notes: Interesting arm to follow in 2022 class. 6-foot-2, long levered frame with a ton of projection left on it. Up to 80mph with potential for much more down the road once he learns to get his lower half involved. Much more to come/wouldn't be shocked if this is a mid80s arm this summer.
Fastball:
Breaking Ball: 11/5 shaped, serviceable offering that should tighten up as he hits impending velocity jump.
Changeup: Flashed a changeup with near fastball arm speed.
Pitchability: Strike thrower for the most part.
Body Type: 6-foot-1, 160-pound lengthy frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Tight arm action that cuts off not getting full extension at release point. Not much incorporation of lower half and lands open. More in the tank with some fine tuning of the mechanics.
Fastball: 73-76mph. Higher spin rate over 2,200 rpm’s with a lot of movement movement on the offering.
Curveball: 61-64mph. 1,800 spin rate with tight spin on a 12/6 plane. Induced fair share of swing and misses on the day. Thrown in the zone consistently.
Pitchability: In the zone with both pitches consistently.
Body Type: 6-foot-1, 160-pound lengthy frame.
Swing Mechanics: Simple load that works well, creating both timing and balance.
Hit: Whippy swing that has some authority behind it. Physical kid with bat speed. Had minor path issues but the tools are there to hit.
Power: Gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Run producer ceiling.
Field: Moves with quick feet in the infield, taking direct routes to the baseball. Ball skills are on par for class.
Throw: Shorter arm action with developing strength.
Defensive Projection: 2B.
Body type: 6-foot-1, 167-pound thin and athletic frame.
Swing mechanics: Simple load with minimal movement into his lower half while keeping his hands loose and loaded.
Hit: Uphill bat path with a pull side approach.
Power: Line drive guy right now with more to come.
Offensive projection: TBD.
Field: Good first step. Solid glove but lays back on the ball at times.
Throw: Clean transfer and accurate throws across the diamond. Arm strength needs to continue to develop.
Defensive Projection: Secondbase.
