Body Type: 6-foot-2, 180-pound athletic frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: A tall and fall delivery that generates power towards the plate. A longer ¾ arm action with a slight pause at the back.
Fastball: Sharp arm side movement with a high 2,200-2,400rpm spin rate with 100% efficiency on Rapsodo. In the zone some of the time.
Curveball: 74-75 mph. Tight, good depth to it. Used the pitch to freeze or chase.
Changeup: 73-76. Maybe his best secondary offering. Maintains arm speed, pitch has quality/late action.
Pitchability: In/out throughout his inning of work.
Additional Comments: Definitely something there. Big, physical with quality stuff when in the zone.
Body Type: 6-foot-2, 180-pound athletic fame.
Hit: Handsy hitter with solid strength behind his swing. Bat speed is also a respectable tool. Rotational sequence that worked to all fields.
Power: 88.2 was top exit velocity in BP. Gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Middle potential.
Field: In the outfield he plays with easy actions in his approach, remaining under control into fielding. Nice,one-handed play through with ball skills on par for class.
Throw: Arm is top tool out there. Ball jumps out of hand with carry.
Defensive Projection: Corner Outfield.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Looks athletic out there with the ability to repeat. Delivery doesn’t require a ton of effort. Arm is clean/fast through a ¾ slot.
Fastball: 76-81 mph, Pitch projects for more velocity with some of the heavier action we saw all day. Heater shows heavy arm side run. Nightmare matchup for righties. Also hit 84 mph from the outfield which could be a sign of what’s in there.
Curveball: 70-73 mph, Not a big breaker but tosses the pitch firm allowing it to slide across the plate with some depth to it. Pitch works more horizontal than vertical.
Changeup: 72-73 mph, Impressive offering. Maintains armspeed on the pitch that has heavy fade. Pitch should allow him to be effective against lefties.
Pitchability: Controlled all three offerings well.
Role: Arm could play multiple roles in a rotation with arm slot, quality movement, and ability to command multiple offerings.
Body Type:
Hit: Right-handed hitter with an athletic load. Stays fluid into launch, showing a slightly downhill path to contact. Physical kid with bat speed.
Power: 85 mph exit velocity. Line drive guy with gap abilities.
Offensive Projection: Middle of the lineup.
Run: 7.27 60-yard dash.
Field: Plays with quiet feet as he stays under control too and through the baseball. Looks comfortable out there.
Throw: 84 mph. Shouldn’t come as surprise after his performance on the mound that arm plays as a big tool.
Defensive Projection: Corner OF.
