Zach Halligan: 3B/RHP, (2023) Walsh Jesuit, OH. 6-foot-4, 190-pound. Solid during batting practice, Halligan had a max exit velocity of 94 mph. (62.90 mph bat speed average). (20.07 mph hand speed average). Started in an athletic open stance with a controlled smooth load, then used a small leg kick stride. Bat speed was above average, showed a level rotational swing plane and level finish. Found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Line drive approach. Solid in the infield, had a live arm with throws that topped out at 85 mph; shows athletic feet, soft hands, and a natural clean exchange. Glovework is shown out front Showed consistent accuracy to the base with a quick arm action and a ¾ slot. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.0. Athletic on the mound, showed good arm speed with a ¾ arm angle and a long arm action. Feel type pitcher and uses easy effort. Has a tall balance point and in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 79-82 mph; shows slight running action and glove side control. (Max spin 2105; Avg 2004). His 11/5 curveball (64-65) had control low in the zone and slight action. (Max spin 2455; Avg 2344).
