An athletic, long-levered, 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame, Gaalaas showed well with the bat Thursday afternoon. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-3 with an opposite-field single and a two-run home run. It’s a simple approach at the plate with quick trigger hands that work compact and direct to the ball, creating an uphill path.
