Owen Edwards: OF/RHP, (2022) Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, OH. 5-foot-10, 180-pound. During batting practice, Edwards best exit velocity was 74 mph. (69.6 mph bat speed average). (22.2 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced stance with a controlled load, then used a controlled stride. Had a simple flat swing plane, efficient developing bat speed and high finish. Solid from the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 77 mph; has sure hands, consistent feet, and a natural exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had a high ¾ slot with a quick arm action. Clocked a 60 time of 7.73 at the event. On the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle with a consistent arm action while showing consistent arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows easy effort. Produced a fastball that came in at 70-73 mph. Had slight running action. (Max spin 1709; Avg 1632). Shows gradual action on his 11/5 curveball (64-67). (Max spin 1707; Avg 1672). He had fading action on his changeup (69-71).
