2025 INF/RHP Adyn Schell (Missouri State) continues to be one of the top hitters everywhere we see him and that was the case once again this weekend in Mississauga. Present strength from the left-side at 6-foot-4, 200-pounds and consistently puts up quality AB’s and generates hard contact. One of the top 2025 hitters in the country and looks the part each time out.
‘25 INF/RHP Adyn Schell didn’t touch a bat early on the week but once he did, he was one of the hottest hitters at the tournament. Played in just four games and picked up a pair of hits in all but one. Went 7-for-12 with a triple, two walks and five RBI. Pure hitter from the left-side with the ability to work to all parts of the field and is slowly tapping into more in-game power. Also took the mound for three innings Saskatchewan and picked up the win as he allowed just one run (0 ER) on two hits and one walk while striking out four. Legit two-way talent and possibility but with the size and feel to hit from the left-side, there’s plenty to dream on with the offensive profile.
Schell was the only player to play a position and also pitch, flashing equal upside in both areas.Size and strength at 6-4, 200lbs and swings it well from the left-side with bat speed. Flashed his strength during both rounds of BP 93.8mph exit velocity (87.0 avg) and peak distance of 350ft. The right-handed pitcher worked one inning and there was plenty to like, sitting 84-88mph and generating in-zone whiffs on the slider at 73-76mph (2400+). Also flashed a changeup 79-80mph. With plenty to like on both sides of his game, it will be interesting to see which makes the first big jump.
2026 3B/RHP Adyn Schell was the most intriguing player in his class at the event and flashed his strength on the mound and at the dish. 6-foot-2, 200-pound right-hander with a fastball that sat 84-85mph with armside run from a clean, repeatable delivery. Slider at 70-72 was his best secondary offering with slurve-like action and tight, late break. Also showed feel for a good changeup and really pulls the string on it with fade and some downward action. Intriguing look with the size and stuff on the mound.
Fields the ball cleanly and outfront at third base, although it projects as a first baseman down the road where he should be able to defend at a high-level. The left-handed hitter put up one of the better rounds of BP with a combination of line drives and elevated balls to the middle of the field. Balanced swing with looseness to it, strong wrists and a strong finish. You can immediately chalk him up as one of the top two-way players in Ontario’s 2026 class.
