‘25 RHP/INF Alex Tassopoulos was the big winner at Team Ontario’s Pro Day last weekend as he took the mound and flashed a ton of upside with the arm and overall look. The 6-foot-4, 195-pound two-way talent worked downhill and sat 86-88mph with a long, loose arm and kept the pitch in/around the zone. Both the slider and changeup are still developing as he’s never focused much on the pitching side. Still raw and there’s plenty to work with, which has our staff eager to track his progress on the mound going forward. Also possesses potential on the positional side as an infielder and left-handed hitter. One of the top uncommitted prospects in Team Ontario’s program.

‘25 SS/RHP Alex Tassopoulos continues to flash one of the more projectable swings in the 2025 class. Oozes projection with his 6-foot-4, 195-pounds and there’s power potential from the left-side as he continues to fill out. Upright setup with hands at shoulder height and looks to elevate the ball, generating a peak exit velocity of 96.3mph (second-best at event) and peak distance of 333ft. 2025 prospect to keep tabs on in Ontario and also has shown potential on the mound.

2026 SS Alex Tassopoulos is another player who has shown well early on in 2023 and it's the projection as a left-handed hitter that catches your eyes at 6-foot-3, 190-pounds. Length at the shortstop position give him range to both sides with a confidence in the glove and he was up 81mph across the diamond. It's the offensive profile that's most intriguing and it was more of a line-drive approach on Monday, although the power projects to the pullside. Posted a peak distance of 302ft. and exit velocity of 85.2mph.

2026 infielder Alex Tassopoulos put up one of the better rounds of BP at the second Future Games Trials and stands out with a projectable frame at 6-foot-3, 185-pounds. Posted an impressive Hard Hit % of 71 (batted balls at 90+), despite only find the sweet spot 28 % of the time, showing theres some strength there already. Line drive, middle of the field approach right now and the bat and overall game have really developed over the winter. Had a peak exit velocity of 93.8mph and distance of 277 feet. Should be some additional strength coming into his game over the next couple years and Tassopoulos best days on the field are ahead of him.

Tassopoulos (6-foot-3, 180-pounds) was a player that stood out on the day. The body stands out with a built athletic frame that projects well in the infield. Had a strong showing in the infield with smooth hands and quick footwork towards the ball. At the plate the swing was level with not many moving parts and lived up the middle and to the pull side with hard contact. There’s lots to like with the body and actions. Tassopoulos will be one to follow in his class this summer.
