9.9.17 - Hazell is a very intriguing 2018 arm as the 6-foot-2, 170-pound right-hander showed good life out the hand on his fastball that sat 83-85 while the actions were clean from ¾-arm slot. Worked strictly out the stretch, Hazell showed spin on his breaking ball with 11/5 shape in the 70-72 range while the changeup was a little firm but had action at 80 mph. The delivery was simple and he was able to repeat, this unsigned senior has chance to jump on colleges radar and can envision the stuff and numbers climbing into the 2018 season.
