2025 C/OF Austin Neilson, 5-foot-8, 150-pounds - Our second look at Neilson in the past three months and his metrics have already begun to improve. The London Badgers product was one of the better catchers in attendance. Had the second-best pop-time at the event at 2.22 and despite the arm being at 55mph, his quick transfer's help make up for it. Seemed to consistently find the barrel from the right-side with a line drive approach to the middle/pullside. Top exit velocity of 81mph.
Neilson, 5-foot-8, 150-pound, uses a toe-tap to get on time and stays up the middle and to the pull side. He uses his lower half well and has strong hands through the zone. Neilson is still just a 2025 grad, so there is room to add strength and size. Look for Neilson to continue to get better in the coming years and improve on his 77.3 mph exit velo.
