Good looking catcher listed at 6-foot-3, 200-pounds with room to add strength to frame and carry the weight well. Right away defensively you can see that Diaz has arms strength as he showed easy carry through the bag and had a velo of 77 mph from the crouch. He has some work to clean up the fundamentals in his footwork and the hands looked fine receiving so right away he has a chance to stick it out behind the plate with the frame and arm strength. At the plate, hits from upright an open stance, gets the bat started and has some bat speed to go with a slightly uphill path. Big body catcher with some hit and juice potential, can really see him making strides after a strong winter of development.
