2025 C Benji Kautto (Ontario Blue Jays) has been on our staff's radar for quite some time now and headed to the Future Games as one of Canada’s main attractions on the positional side. Flashed equal upside throughout the week at the dish and behind it, impacting each game he played in both areas. The Ontario Blue Jays catcher moves well for the position with a 6.60 60-yard and showcased pop-times of 1.88 - 1.95 (78mph) which helped him catch several runners on the bases throughout the week. The left-handed hitter flashed bat-to-ball skills and has feel for the barrel with plenty of hard contact, picking up multiple hits to the pullside. Works with a great approach at the plate and plays to his strengths, working gap-to-gap. Kautto will be a fun watch in Ontario over the next few years and has established himself as one of the top 2025 catchers in Canada.
2025 C Benji Kautto (uncommitted) is the lone 2025 on OBJ’s 17U roster and on a loaded batting order, he looked right at home in the middle of the order. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound catcher had his pullside power on display during the matchup against GLC, leaving the yard once for a HR and later picking up a ground-rule double down the LF line. Consistently gets AB’s against older competition and has no issues finding the barrel against high velocity arms. One of the top 2025 positional players in the country and still uncommitted.
