Mabbott is a product out of the Voyageurs program that shows feel for the bat. Provides a quiet approach in the box from the right-side with good separation into his load. Showed ability to create plane early with good whip to contact. Went on to produce a maximum exit velocity of 92.8 mph, and a peak distance of 297 feet. The metrics should trend in the right direction with strength added to the 5-foot-9, 150-pound frame. Brody’s strong showing should create some momentum into his ‘25 summer campaign.
‘26 SS/OF Brody Mabbott put together one of the best performances with the bat at the Canadian College & University and has developed well since we last saw him in the spring of 2024. The 5-foot-9, 150-pound shortstop was tied for the 2nd-best exit velocity at the event (88.7mph) while his max exit velocity was 92.8mph. The Sudbury Voyageurs product worked with consistent line-drive contact throughout both his rounds. Mabbott was also up to 80mph on the field and provides some versatility as he can handle the outfield. Overall, a strong day from Mabbott to open up his 2025 campaign.
