2019 catcher with feel for position and room to add strength at 5-foot-10, 170-pounds. Improved all numbers from a year ago, ran a 7.56 in the 60-yard spring with regular effort. Defensively, hands received well displaying softness in glove hand, transfers were clean but at times would rush and not have proper body control you need to throw down from the crouch. Was clocked at 71 mph down to second with best pop time of 2.11. Offensively, right-handed bat, spread stance with body control in the box, creates good angles with barrel at launch position, gets hips through zone with separation and bat works with flat path to contact as he works to stay in the middle of the field while generating bat speed through the hitting zone. Exit velocity was 80 mph, doesn't get cheated and like the way he attacks in the cage. 2019 grad that continues to improve and one to track and watch progress.

Young 2019 catcher listed at 5-foot-6, 145-pounds with room to develop physically. At the plate, crouched stance with stride and toe turn to trigger. Loose hands and was able to bring bat through on good plane, exit velocity was 74 mph. Behind the plate, feet moved well, showed some athleticism, best pop time was 2.21 and was clocked at 66 mph from the crouch.
