Young 2019 grad with a frame to work with and add size to at lean 6-foot, 176-pounds. Left-handed hitting catcher who ran a lasered timed 60 at 7.91. Defensively, some rawness to his catch and throw, didn't generate enough on throws from the crouch, never looked to get any weight on back leg and all out front. Can correct with reps a minor mechanical adjustments. At the plate, leg kick to load, at times would look out of sync and either be early or to late, the actions are there, hands have some looseness to them, being on time and finding a rhythm that works best for Hicks will be key. Young with time and a body that will get stronger, look for Hicks to have a better showing at the next event.
