Stabler, an athletic 5-foot-11, 165-pounds, was a standout bat in the 2-hole of the Mets lineup. Collecting 3 XBH’s on the day, Stabler showed a mature approach working counts and fouling off multiple pitches before spraying the ball foul line to foul line with authority. It was a good first look at Stabler and he will be one to follow in the Mets program.
