Boisvert, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound first-baseman is a projectable bat with lots to work within his overall game. At the plate, Boisvert starts straight up, before leg-kicking as timing mechanism and generating bat speed through separation. Boisvert will go down and get pitches around his knee’s, staying through and creating backspin. With long arm’s, pitches up are more of a challenge but Boisvert has shown that he is able to shorten up and make decent contact. He is best suited to play first-base where his size benefits him best as he’s a big target. As Boisvert fills out, he will improve mechanically as he gains better body control throughout. Boisvert is an interesting 2020 player in the Toronto Mets organization.
