2025 Ontario Preseason Invitational
Ault sits near the top in the ‘28 class and is a name that will continue to garner attention in the years ahead. Handles the stick well from the left-side producing a fluid-compact stroke. He is equally impressive with the glove as he is with the bat. Jacob is a strong defender in the 6-4 hole and couples it with a strong arm for his class that topped out at 78 mph during defensive workouts. The buzz will continue to stir in the coming years with added development/strength.
Ault is another prospect who’s really jumped onto our radar as a positional player in the 2028 class. The overall profile immediately catches your eye as a left-handed hitting catcher with bloodlines at the position with his older brother, Mason, who caught for the Canadian Junior National Team and will head to East Tennessee State next fall. Ault went back up the middle against an 88mph fastball at the Jr. Future Games and already stands out as one of the better defensive catchers in the class.
