2026 RHP Jacob Gillies has plenty of potential going forward as he already moves well on the mound and there’s plenty of physical projection with the 6-foot-2, 158-pound frame. The Ontario Nationals right-hander sat 79-81mph, a 2mph increase from the Toronto New Year Invite last month. The secondary stuff is still developing but there’s a potential putaway pitch with the high-spin slider at 65-68mph (2450+), along with a changeup at 70-73mph.
The 6-foot-2, 158-pound right-handed arm is a prospect out of the Nationals’ organization. Orchestrated the arsenal well during his pen providing a fastball/slider mix. The heater sits in the 78 mph range and topped out at 79.4 mph with an average spin rate of 2,000+. The slider works showing good bite to it (2290+). Gillies is a prospect in the ‘26 class that will look to play a key role in his team’s success this summer.
