Miller, a physical 2022 6-foot-2, 190-pounds might be one of the best bats in his class. The Chipola commit flat out hits. The swing is relaxed and twitchy with good rhythm in his hands. In the outfield the feet are quick and smooth with an arm that has strength and carry to it. From a defensive side, Miller gives you some versatility, but as a bat-first player it doesn’t really matter where he plays.
Miller, a catcher/outfielder for the Toronto Mets, was an attendee of the New Year Open. 6-foot-2, 190-pounds, he’s a physical athlete, with athleticism, as he’s been up to 7.15 running the 60. In the outfield, he was up to 86 on throws, showing off a short arm action that works with whip. Behind the plate, he moved well and was 2.05-2.11 on pops. He was also up to 78 out of the crouch. At the plate, it’s a 92 exit velocity that translates when he catches the ball out front. He is best when he stays short to the baseball and lets his natural strength take over.
Miller is a strong and physical for his age at 6-foot-1, 180-pounds and moves well with a 7.15 sixty early on in 2018. Miller displays tools both on the mound and behind the plate, while he has also shown the ability to play the outfield and be a strong defender with reads and arm strength. The bat works with a slightly open stance, leg kick to load and can create and generate more of his strength into his swing and finish. Shows bat to ball ability and will show off power on mistakes made by opposing pitchers. Lots to like, lots to work with and Miller is a guy with many options as he matures and continues to develop. A 2021 you need to know.
