2025 Ontario Future Games Trials
2028 LHP Jake Lamb is one of the top prospects in Canada’s 2028 class and was in good form on Monday as the left-hander continues to excel on the mound. Length and projection stand out for his age at 6-foot-4, 198-pounds and the Fieldhouse Pirates product filled up the zone with the fastball at 82-83 T84. Lamb works with two different breaking balls; a curveball at 66-69mph and slider at 69-73mph. While it’s his work on the mound that captures your attention, there’s potential on the positional side as well where he posted one of top rounds of BP among underclassmen. The right-handed hitter generated a peak exit velocity of 97.7mph (88.9 avg), peak distance of 350ft, Hard-Hit% of 60% and Sweet Spot% of 73%. A must-watch player in Ontario’s 2028 class.
Ontario Class of 2027 Watch List
Lamb is the other big-time arm to appear on this list with present stuff for his age and a high-ceiling moving forward. The profile immediately grabs your attention with a 6-foot-3, 184-pound frame, hurling from the left-side. The fastball sat 77-81mph at the Jr. Future Games in late July, along with a curveball at 63-64 with late downward action. Also featured a changeup at 74mph. Lamb generated swing/miss and was tough to barrel up. One of the top arms in this class and it’s easy to see why.
