Bryan is a intriguing prospect with his potential at the plate, not to mention how projectable the frame is at 6-foot-3, 182-pounds. The 2017 grad was the first person to homer at the TPG, turning on a 84 mph inside fastball that left in a hurry. Bryan starts upright in the box with natural lift to his swing, a short load with good torque to contact, getting extended with high finish and follow through, exit velocity was clocked at 84 mph. Frame can add strength and will be interesting to see how Bryan finished the fall season and comes out in 2016.
4/4/15
6-foot-2, 180-pounds, long and lean limbers with good frame to add on muscle. Offensively, the 2017 grad showed quick hands and bat speed at the plate. Uses and uphill bat path, mostly everything was in the air during batting practice. Hits from an upright position, hands load straight back. Did good job of getting barrel on the ball. Was able to get out an extend on a few. Potential for some power. Exit velocity was 82 mph. Defensively took reps from catcher and third base. Arm was 70 mph behind the plate and 68 mph across the infield. Behind the plate his feet worked well. Showed some agility in lower half, transfer was clean, arm would get in behind head at times on release point. Caught the ball in the pens, softened up after a minute with his glove, began to receive. Good looking 2017 prospect, interesting to see how he matures over the next year. Bryan will be middle of the order guy for the Ontario Yankees.
