Cummins was the top prospect in attendance at the event and looked the part as he was a top performer in all areas of the showcase. The 6-foot-1, 166-pound right-hander is a top uncommitted arm in the country and it was a loud bullpen with plenty of strikes that saw the fastball sitting 89-90 T90.9. He paired the fastball with a slider at 73-75mph and changeup at 79-81mph. The Ontario Giants prospect had some of the best actions during the infield portion and his 89mph throws were 2nd-best. At the plate, Cummins generated a peak exit velocity of 94.1mph and peak distance of 356ft.

Cummins, 5-foot-11, 145-pounds was dominant on the mound today in his 3 innings of work. The no. 9 ranked 2026 in Ontario used the FB almost exclusively sitting 80-83 T84 getting in-zone swing and misses. It’s an athletic, repeatable delivery from a clean arm slot. He struck out 8 on 49 pitches. Cummins backed up a strong off-season showing and is continuing to trend upwards. Strong follow in Ontario’s 2026 class.
10/10/22
2026 SS/RHP Logan Cummins was someone who came in as an unknown and jumped out to our staff early on with his work on the infield. 5-foot-10, 140-pound athlete who moves well with looseness in all areas of his game. Clean, smooth actions on the infield where he was one of the best in the event and the arm translated to the mound, as well, sitting 78-81mph. Flashed upside and potential on both sides of the ball. Another fun 2026 to follow from Monday’s event.
