Recently slotted in at #5 in Ontario’s class of 2025 rankings, Forgie continues to impress our staff with his pure pitchability on the mound. The 6-foot-1, 217-pound LHP continues to show how he is truly an uncomfortable AB by racking up 9 Ks through 3 IP at the CPBL showcase weekend. The FB sits 85-88mph with ASR and gets on hitters quick, but his most impressive pitch might be his CB, which sits in the mid-low 70s and has 2600rpms+ and generates tons of awkward swings and misses. He also possesses a wipeout slider that generates 2500rpms+. There is a lot to like from Ontario’s #1 ranked LHP in the class of 2025, and he still remains uncommitted.
Forgie was one of the more highly anticipated arms heading into the event and he did not disappoint. Physical presence on the mound at 6-foot-1, 217-pounds Forgie boasts a diverse mix of fastball/curveball/changeup/slider, and nothing moves straight. The fastball sits 86-88mph with armside-run and was located towards the top of the zone for strikes, the curveball plays as a swing-and-miss pitch that sits 71-72mph with 2300+ rpm. The changeup sits 77-78mph with some ride and the slider sits 72-73mph with an impressive 2500+rpms and also looks to be a swing-and-miss pitch. Forgie has the ability to strike you out with multiple off-speeds that he lands for strikes consistently and he is the top-ranked left-hander in Ontario’s 2025 class and remains uncommitted (also eligible as a 2026).
2026 LHP Logan Forgie continues to be one of the more polished and efficient arms in Ontario’s 2026 class. Has added strength during the offseason and the body has really tightened up, now 6-foot, 205-pounds. Clean, easy and repeatable operation from the left-side and pounded the zone Saturday with a fastball/curveball combination. The fastball sat 84-86mph and paired it with a curveball at 69-70mph. Hitters looked uncomfortable in the box and generated some ugly swings/misses on the breaking ball. Forgie put together the best outing on the mound Saturday and continues to stand out each time we see him High upside arm in the 2026 class.
‘26 LHP Logan Forgie was another arm that showed well on the mound during OBJ Scout Day. An athletic moving 6-foot, 200-pound physical lefty that owned mid 80’s with ASR from a high ¾ arm slot. He showed an advanced feel to spin the CB lighting up the TrackMan numbers with 2442 RMPs, -14.9 IVB and 11.9 HB. It is developing to be a swing and miss type of pitch for Forgie. This was our first time getting eyes on him since the fall, and he did not disappoint.
026 LHP/OF Logan Forgie (ONC) is a name that jumped onto the scene at Tuesday’s showcase. He immediately caught our eye in the outfield with a clean left-handed arm that worked up to 83mph. It’s a strong build already from Forgie at 5-foot-11, 195-pounds and the fastball sat 79-82mph T83 with life through the zone. It’s compact delivery with short arm action and he had the ability to spin the ball well at 60-61. A 2026 arm from the Ottawa Nepean Canadians program that could create some buzz over the next 2-3 years.
