Physical 5-foot-11, 205-pound catcher with a strong build and room to add more muscle to his frame. Had an exit velocity of 95 off a tee and went onto make some hard contact in BP. Hands work with some quickness, stays balanced from the right side, Leg kick load and drives bat through the ball with some lift. Behind the backstop, has a pop time between 1.96-2.06 seconds. Shows good lower half mobility and good arm quickness. Actions are athletic and Ferris is able to transfer the ball from his glove to his throwing arm cleanly and quickly. Ferris is a strong 2019 catcher who should be an interesting follow for coaches into the summer.
