Panzica looked like one of the Niagara Open ID standouts, performing both with the bat and his arm. At 6-foot-3, 170-pounds, Panzica has a projectable frame with room to fill out and get stronger. At the plate, the two-way player starts off from a narrow open stance, has a short stroke from the left side with some raw pop. Stays balanced and is able to generate good bat speed through the zone. Athletic actions in the box, in the outfield, as well as on the mound. Arm works cleanly out of the outfield and is up to 92 mph with carry. On the bump Panzica is loose, is able to repeat his delivery, and effectively throws downhill. Works from a high-¾ slot with quick arm action. Fastball up to 85 mph with some late tail. Changeup dives down in the zone and sits between 76-78. Showed good feel for his curveball which had an 11/5 shape with some bite. Overall, Panzica is an exciting uncommitted 2019 grad who has plenty of tools to excel on the next level.
Projectable frame at 6-foot-3, 165-pounds. Loose arm with carry and strength from the outfield. Panzica will see more time on the mound in 2017 and looks to be one of the top arms in his class. High 70's guy who has touched 80 mph in the past, Panzica projects well with good feel for breaking ball that has a chance to be a quality pitch. Left-handed bat with good foundation at the plate, balanced during swing with some bat speed. will track development and could be in line for a breakout 2017 season.
