Lackie spent some time behind the plate and on the infield, but when you look at him it’s tough to say where he’ll end up. Right now he’s 6-foot-2, and 150-pounds without any muscle on him, but his actions look fluid all over the diamond. Behind the plate he hovered around a 2.00 pop time, attributed more to a quick transfer and release. At the plate the swing is pretty free and easy, and once he adds some overall strength to his game he has a chance to be alright.
Lackie, a 2022 catcher/outfielder, is listed at 5-foot-11, 145-pounds. Upright stance from the right side of the plate, looks to pull the ball, some current pop with more to come when he fills out. Up to 79 mph off the tee. Catch and throw skills resulted in 2.29-2.40 times. Moved well and correctly in the outfield, was up to 72 mph of throws in. Also a 7.59 runner.
