2025 SS/RHP Owen Ralph was another top performing two-way player at the event and showed well in all areas of the game. Athletic 5-foot-10, 155-pound frame with more strength to come and moves with confidence on the infield. Clean actions, the feet work and there’s arm strength (87mph) and the ability to throw from multiple slots. Right-handed hitter with a smooth, fluid swing and found the barrel at a rate of 88% with a peak exit velocity of 88.6mph. There’s also some upside on the mound where his athletic movements show and the fastball sat 85-87mph with armside run. Slider was 71-72mph along with a changeup 74-76 with some heavy horizontal run. Quality overall showing and the tools with only get louder as he fills out and adds strength.
Ralph flashed his upside in all facets of his game today. Standing 5-foot-10, 150-pounds, he sat 83-84 on the mound with an athletic, repeatable delivery and feel for his offspeed stuff. Smooth mover on the infield with athletic actions and quick feet side to side, the arm will play on the left-side of the diamond. In the box, it’s a simple, compact stroke with good extension through the ball. He worked the big part of the field with consistent loft and a max EV of 89.4 mph (286.3 ft max distance). The former Junior Future Gamer is one of Ontario's top 2025’s and proved why once again today.
Ralph, got the start for the PBR Select team and impressed our staff. Ralph was confident in his pitches and pounded the zone with his 80-81 mph FB. He is an athletic player who moves well and shows good actions on the mound and in the field. He can really pick it at SS. At the dish he has a smooth right handed swing, and barrels up baseballs consistently. Look for Ralph to continue to impress throughout the week on both sides of the ball.
Ralph, 5-foot-10, 133-pounds, is an intriguing hitter in the 2024 class. He starts in a slightly open stance and has a small leg-kick into his swing. He gets his hands through the zone nicely and finds barrels. He has a line drive swing that plays gap-to-gap. He has projectable tools and being only 133-pounds, there's plenty of strength to come. It will be interesting to see where Ralph progresses in the future.
