11.3.17 - A 2019 grad, the right-hander Kauer has room to add to his 5-foot-10, 165-pound frame. He worked predominantly out the stretch during his pen where he threw three pitches that were all around the zone. Fastball worked in the 72-73 range from 3/4 arm slot, slow curveball with gradual break and near 12/6 shape at 57-59 and a changeup with some fading action. Some deceptiveness to delivery as he hides the ball, Kauer will look to add velocity as he matures as there is more in his arm.
