2028 RHP/OF Tanner Allen showed what he’s capable of on the mound at the Nats Scout Day this past weekend and there looks to be more in the tank with his 6-foot, 165-pound frame. The right-hander sat 72-74mph while touching 75 and featured a trio of secondary offerings.. Curveball at 61-62mph, slider at 63-67mph and changeup at 63-65mph. Allen showed the ability to land the secondary stuff for strikes and will be a young arm to watch in the Nationals program. On the positional side, the 2028 prospect produced a max exit velocity of 82.4mph, infield velocity of 81mph and 4.05 30-yard dash. Overall, it was a good first showing from Allen this past weekend in Kitchener.
