2026 C/1B Tavin Tronko was one of the top performing defensive catchers at the Ontario Nationals Scout Day. Big presence behind the plate at 6-foot-1, 175-pounds and showcased a quick catch/throw with pop-times in the 1.85-2.03 range with 73mph throws. The right-handed hitter worked with a line-drive approach that saw him consistently find the barrel and there should be some power on the way as the frame fills out. Tronko posted a peak exit velocity of 88.6mph, peak distance of 296ft and Sweet Spot % of 73%. The Nationals catcher closed out his day running a 4.12 30-yard dash.
