10.22.17 - Ideal pitchers body at 6-foot-3, 170-pounds with lots of room to mature and develop strength. Hicks moves well down the mound creating rhythm and tempo. Some coil in the back on his separation causing his arm to be late at times. Does a good job of getting back out front with arm speed and hand speed, strike thrower with fastball. Spins a slower curveball with 12/6 shape at 65 with big break and depth to pitch. As he makes adjustments and gains strength, curveball has the chance to be the separator for Hicks as the spin and rotation are what you look for. A winter of strength gains and some minor adjustments and Hicks could be a mid 80s guy with a big 12/6 curveball.
