2025 SS/RHP Tyson Moran was a top performer on both the pitching and positional sides and comes with plenty of projection at 6-foot, 155-pounds. Clean hands on the infield, the glove works and the long legs allow him to cover ground quickly. Quiet, simple setup at the dish from the left-side and the swing works through the baseball. Line-drive approach while also elevating at times with a peak exit velocity of 93.3mph and distance of 313ft. Really has a chance to become a power bat as the frame continues to fill out and add strength.
Also a right-handed pitcher who moves well on the mound with long, clean and quick arm-action. Showed feel for his three-pitch mix with the fastball sitting 85-86mph. True curveball shape to the breaking ball with vertical action at 86mph, along with a changeup at 76-77mph and the ability to locate both. Quality overall showing from Moran who’s tools and metrics continue get better each time out.
OF/RHP Tyson Moran was the most impressive 2025 we saw on Sunday. Immediately caught our eyes during the infield portion with his movements and live arm. Arm works on the mound, as well, where he worked up to 80mph. Athletic movements on the mound where he works with a CB and CH, throwing both for strikes. Left-handed hitter also had a loose swing and found the barrel often during his BP. An intriguing underclassmen in the Nationals program who shows equal upside on both sides of the ball.
