Briggs is one of the brighter spots in the ‘27 class that will be a close follow in the coming years. He is an athletic left-handed swinging shortstop/outfielder that has tools at his disposal. Syncs up well in the box providing a short-compact stroke that generated a maximum exit velocity of 92.4 mph, an average exit velocity of 86.7 mph, and a peak distance of 262 feet. Looks right with the glove and clocked in at 81 mph during defensive workouts on the turf. The Whitby Canadians’ prospect in the ‘27 class has plenty of time to fill into his 6-foot-1, 155-pound frame and will continue to make his footprint known in the years ahead.
