Riopelle showed well on both sides of the ball, and should be a backstop to follow through the remainder of his high school career. Led all catchers with a 2.06 pop time and worked up to 70mph from behind the dish. With strong actions, expect these numbers to trend in the right direction as Jerome adds strength to the frame. Simple operation at the plate that features a toe-tap and shows a strong path through the hitting zone. At 77%, had one of the top sweet spot percentages on the day.
