2027 LHP Liam Dunlop out of the Midwestern Ontario Bearcats program continues to impress this preseason with his movements on the mound and easy velocity from the left-side. 6-foot, 170-pounds with athletic actions on the mound and the fastball sat 79-80mph (up to 81mph last weekend) and creates good ride on the pitch with 18.4in. IVB/6.6in. HM. Dunlop also featured a developing slider at 67-72mph and the growth on his secondary stuff will be what really takes him to the next level. Overall, highly intriguing prospect in Ontario’s 2027 class and our staff is eager to see what it looks like in-game this summer.
2027 LHP Liam Dunlop was one of just a few 2027s at the event but no doubt made his presence known as he put together one of the cleanest and most intriguing bullpens of the day. 6-foot, 170-pound left-hander with athletic movements on the bump and the fastball sat 79-80 T81 with 23.5in. of IVB. The Midwestern Ontario Bearcats product also flashed a slider at 66-67mph and changeup at 71mph. Dunlop quickly thrust himself into the category of “2027 arms to see this spring” with his performance in Cambridge over the weekend.
