2028 Lincoln Swartz is the 47th-ranked prospect in his class within Ontario and put his two-way abilities on display at the Future Games Trials. Swartz started his day on the mound where the right-hander has a clean, easy operation that had his fastball in the 74-75mph range. The breaking ball has more of a horizontal look and it’s a potential out-pitch as the velocity ticks upwards. Also featured a changeup at 64-65mph. Positionally, the Terriers product ran a 4.21 30-yard dash and was up to 74mph across the diamond. In the box, the left-handed hitter has a line-drive approach and looks to utilize the entire field. Peak exit velocity of 82.1mph, Sweet Spot % of 57% and Line Drive% of 57%.
Swartz is an intriguing ballplayer out of the Terriers system in the ‘28 class. Steps in the box with a high-waisted 5-foot-7 frame and displayed feel for the stick from the left-side. Lincoln is quiet into his load while providing a short-compact stroke. He was equally impressive with the glove providing feel for his position on the turf. The metrics will be there in the years to come.
