The 2027 prospect out of the Leaside program looked much more comfortable in the box compared to last year and was able to make hard contact on a more consistent basis. 5-foot-9, 155-pound catcher/third baseman and swings it from the right-side where it’s more contact over power right now. Marquez generated a peak exit velocity of 87.8mph and average exit velocity of 82.4mph, along with a peak distance of 297ft. Behind the dish, the Leaside Leafs catcher posted pop-times of 2.22-2.41 and a catcher velocity of 67mph.
