2025 OF Santiago Ortega put together a good day at the Canadian College event and would be a great target for the college coaches who were in attendance. Athletic frame at 6-foot-2, 170-pounds and the right-handed hitter flashed some muscle during his two rounds of BP with a peak exit velocity of 92.2mph (82.6 avg) and peak distance of 319ft. Ortega also worked up to 74mph from the outfield, although we’ve had him up to 78mph in the past. Overall, Ortega continues to get better each time we see him and should be on the radar of Canadian college programs looking for depth in the outfield.
