2027 MIF/C Troy Patterson is a young infielder out of the Nats program who did a good job of utilizing the middle part of the cage throughout his BP. Looks like there’s strength on the way as his 5-foot-11, 145-pound frame fills out. The left-handed hitter was able to generate a peak exit velocity of 81.8mph, along with a peak distance of 247ft and Sweet Spot % of 51%. Patterson was up to 73mph on the infield and up to 72mph behind the dish with 2.12-2.28 pop-times. The Nationals two-way also showed potential on the mound where his fastball sat 77-79mph with plenty of strikes and partnered it with a vertical breaking ball at 65-67mph, slider at 63-66mph and changeup at 69-70mph.
