2028 RHP/3B William Reid is a name who caught our staff’s attention with some size and strength for his age, coming out of the Scarborough Stingers program. 6-foot-1, 180-pound frame and has potential on either side of the ball as he’s able to generate some loud numbers with relative ease. On the mound, the right-hander filled up the zone with his fastball at 77-79mph and also featured a vertical breaking ball at 67-72mph and changeup at 71-72mph. Offensively, the left-hander hitter put together a quality round of BP with an abundance of line-drives that saw a peak exit velocity of 85.1mph and Sweet Spot% of 63%. The Stingers prospect was also up to 76mph on the infield. Overall, it’s an intriguing profile and will be a player to keep tabs on in the 2028 class.
