Wide, extra large frame at 6-foot-4, 196 pounds. Build has filled out significantly since our previous look last summer. Wide upper half is capable of handling even more additional strength. Improved across all measurable categories at this event, showing that he’s handling the added mass. At the plate, hit from a balanced stance with square alignment with the pitcher. Keeps hands back just below rear shoulder with some subtle movement to create rhythm. Very few moving parts as he takes a short, quick stride. Flashed best contact to the middle of the field with an exit velo up to 90 mph. Clean, direct swing path. Defensively, showed well in corner OF. Uses long strides to cover ground laterally. Kept momentum behind throws while waiting to receive the ball. Full arm path with a ¾ slot. Gets backside thru after release.
