LaBella spent the first three years of his career at Springside Chestnut Hill, where he was 1st-team all-Inter-Ac as a junior, before transferring to Jenkintown as a senior.

2/15/14 LaBella hits from a slightly open stance with a high hands load. He showcased a short swing path and good bat speed in barreling the baseball routinely during his round of batting practice. The 5-foot-9, 160-pound right-handed hitter displayed a 79 mph bat exit velocity. LaBella turned in a solid 4.15 home-to-1B time and showed an 80 mph arm across the diamond. He has an accurate arm and fluid actions that could allow him to stay on the left side of the infield with continued physical maturity.

9/22/13 LaBella is a 5-foot-9, 150-pound middle infielder that showed a great deal of promise. The right-handed hitter displayed a short swing path and the ability to barrel the baseball repeatedly with a bat exit velocity of 75 mph. LaBella showcased the ability to make plays on the move defensively and the ability to throw from several arm angles. He showcased good feet and a quick release with good carry to throws of 78 mph across the diamond.
