Physical: Strong/compact 5-foot-10, 185lb frame with a solid all-around skillset. 7.48 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Upright, shoulder-width start as the hands begin high out in front of the body. Utilized a leg lift stride with stretch back to a shoulder launch position; initiated with some drift/weight shift into a stiff front side at impact, entering the hitting zone through a confident, flat path at impact. Lifted well over the middle of the field during batting practice, generating a 56% fly ball rate per Trackman Baseball. Worked his way up to a 319 foot peak batted ball distance and found most success driving the ball deep to CF. Stayed in the legs with good rear hip turn and posture in the swing; posted a 92 mph top bat-exit velocity getting the most out of a connected lower-half.
Defensively: The primary backstop featured a low, balanced traditional crouch position on the receive, flashing a soft glove hand at the catch point working effortlessly. Pop times ranged from 2.02-2.12 with short, replaceable footwork staying moderately low in the posture up out of the crouch. Clean exchanges, fast transfers to a quick high ¾ slot allowing for repeatability in the release and a 70 mph arm strength.
