Physical: Large, XL 6-foot-1, 230lb frame with strength that carries in the actions.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, upright stance with the upper half leaning over the front-side in the stance. Utilized a leg lift stride on-time as rhythmic hands entered the hitting zone through a flat, slightly uphill path with rotational swings. Able to stay on the barrel working into a semi-stiff/adjustable lead leg, producing lots of lift/loft in the approach through the middle of the field. Posted a T87 mph bat-exit velocity via Trackman while working up to a 330 foot batted ball distance at his peak to LCF. Doubles power and middle of the order considerations with minimal ground ball contact.
Defensively: The primary first baseman demonstrated a moderate posture arriving on time at shoulder width in the base, flashing a soft glove hand out in front. Fielded off the middle of his body, got the shoulders turned, and released accurately from a ¾ slot (75 mph arm) showing adequate feel around the bag.
Physical: 6-foot-1, 230 pounds; proportional, sturdy build. 8.24 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Slightly open front foot and a torso that is tilted forward; works through a moderate leg kick with some twirl in the barrel to keep rhythm in his hands. Average use of the lower half, leaves leg load prematurely but blocks off a firm front leg with uphill swing path with a quick turn of the barrel to catch the ball out in front and lift it well. Lifted the ball easily to the outfield, displayed some juice. Middle of the order type bat; peak Trackman exit velocity of 89 MPH.
Defensively: Low to the ground with a wide base; pops off the bag and stands up after fielding the ball to make the throw. Soft hands that funnel and throws cleanly; Short take away from the glove into a whippy arm action from a 3/4 slot. INF - 76 MPH.
Pitching: Works with good tempo down the mound, uses a high leg kick and works the hands up for easy rrhythm, throws off a soft front leg. Gets into an inverted W position in his separation, could get the arm up earlier but maintains some looseness in a high 3/4 slot. FB: Peak velo of 75 MPH, while sitting 72-75 MPH. Filled up the zone with a trustworthy FB, worked it well on both sides. CB: 61-64 MPH. Showcased a tall CB that has promising movement to it.
