Worthington is a 5-10, 145-pound RHP from Montgomery HS. He will be participating in the PA Unsigned Senior Showcase in November.

11/11/12 Worthington showed well in all facets of the game. The 5-foot-10, 145-pound prospect ran a 7.41 60-yard dash, threw 79mph across the infield and showcased a bat exit speed of 77mph. Worthington had an impressive outing on the mound. The right-hander displayed an 80mph fastball, a 65mph curveball with tight 11/5 rotation and a 65mph knuckle ball that danced. Worthington throws the knuckle ball in rhythm and does not tip the pitch. He commanded the knuckle ball and threw it for strikes. With room to add significant size to his frame, Worthington showed the potential for success on the mound at the next level.

1/13/13 Worthington started the morning session of his workout by running a 7.15 60-yard dash. The 5-foot-10, 145-pound RHP/SS from Montgomery HS went on to show good range and quick feet defensively. He had a very solid round of batting practice, spraying line drives to all fields. Worthington used a short swing path and a 78 mph bat exit velocity to consistently square the baseball. He was most impressive in his afternoon bullpen session. Throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot, Worthington showed good life on his 82 mph fastball that had some arm side run. He also commanded a 11/5 breaking curveball at 66 mph and a 63 mph knuckle ball that danced pretty well. Worthington is an athletic prospect that could potentially be a two-way player at the next level given the opportunity.
