Physical: Lengthy, even-proportioned 6-foot, 165lb frame that has made great strides over the past two years. High ATH running a 7.15 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Utilized an open, bent stance to start with the hands high; initiated through a flat path with good extension, featuring a moderate toe-tap stride and some weight shift into impact. Clean, tight barrel actions inward/short into the slot allowing for loft in the approach (50% fly ball rate via Trackman) and useful leverage out over the plate. Posted a near 300 foot batted ball distance in a middle/pull approach and registered a T89 mph bat-exit velocity during his batting practice round. Developing middle of the order hitter with some feel.
Defensively: The primary backstop demonstrated a low LKD setup in the crouch with a sure, trusted glovehand operating calmly at the catch with subtle movements. Pop times ranged from 1.94-1.96 with low posture out of the set and noticeable backside leg drive. Released from a strong, even position quickly with plus 81 mph arm strength carrying to the target with life.
Pitching: RHP - Started off the far right side of the rubber with moderate pace to the delivery. Herky jerky at first, but found good connection at the stack, getting high/coiled with lots of length showing. Worked down the slope with separation, rotating on time into footstrike from H ¾. The FB attacked at 80-82 mph with 16 inches AVG IVB via Trackman and a 50%+ zone rate. Added a well spun, 67-69 mph curveball with two-plane 11/5 tilt for strikeouts (T2400+rpms).
Physical: 5-foot-10, 160 pounds; lean, athletic frame. 7.49 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Upright, open stance; toe tap into a small stride. average effort with efficient, slightly uphill bat path; 16 degree bat angle into the zone via Blast Motion. Noone is able to produce 7.5 G’s of force with an on-plane efficiency of 81%. Fly ball approach, shows some present pull side pop with more to come; average Trackman exit velocity of 75 MPH; peak exit velo was 90 MPH.
Defensively: C: Low to the ground, quick feet out of the crouch and into an athletic throwing position, soft hands, beats the ball to the spot, quick transfer, Quick arm with a 3/4 slot. 2.02-2.13 pop times. C - 75 MPH. OF: Starts upright, slightly offset, controlled attack of the ball, fields the ball on the inside of his glove foot, transfers into crowhop, medium arm swing with a 3/4 arm slot, OF - 80 MPH.
Pitching: Sets up on the third base side of the rubber, uses a small drop step and gets into his back side well as he gets into his stride towards the plate . Moderate takeback with a 3/4 arm slot. FB: T 80 MPH, 78-79 MPH. Some cross-fire action from where he sets up on rubber, arm side run. CB: 62-63 MPH. Early breaking, 10-4 shape. CH: 72-73 MPH. Late fade through the zone.
5-foot-10, 150-pound right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and uses a heel-raise stride to begin. Stays behind the baseball well creating consisten back spin with a gap-to-gap approach. Registered a bat exit velocity of 88 mph and ran a 7.49 60-yard dash. Showcased above average abilities behind the plate for a player his age with pop times of 2.07-2.18 and 76 mph arm strength out of the crouch. The righty sat 78-79 from a high 3/4 arm slot on the mound. Also showed a curveball at 60-64 with tight 11/5 break and a changeup at 73-74 that is still in development.
5-foot-10, 150-pound right-handed hitter starts from an open, crouched stance and uses a controlled, lift-and-replace stride to begin. Displayed balance and an ability to stay behind the baseball with a gap-to-gap approach with routine back spin. Registered a bat exit velocity of 86 mph and ran a 7.52 60-yard dash. Showcased athletic actions defensively with advanced 84 mph arm strength for a player his age. The righty sat 79-80 on the mound out of a high 3/4 arm slot with a quick arm. Curveball sat 11/5 with two-plane action at times sitting 64-65. Changeup was thrown with similar arm speed 73-75.
5-foot-10, 140-pound right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and utilizes a toe-tap stride to begin. Displayed a feel for the barrel with the ability to create some backspin. Registered a bat exit velocity of 82 mph and ran a 7.93 60-yard dash. Showcased the ability to play through the baseball routinely with accurate 77 mph arm strength from his outfield position. The righty sat 73-76 with arm-side run to his fastball from a 3/4 arm slot off the mound. Showed balance throughout with above average command. Curveball showed tight 11/5 rotation with two-plane break and changeup was thrown with good sell at 66-67.
